Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check
All successful applicants ARE REQUIRED to provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (which automatically includes a criminal record check) dated within six months of being hired as a condition of employment and for all staff and volunteers. It must be submitted to WSD Human Resources before your first day of work.
Following this initial check, all staff and volunteers will be required to fill out a self-declaration form annually.
LOCAL Residents:
- Vulnerable Sector Check (which includes a criminal record check) is available IN PERSON at the local RCMP Detachments.
- Please apply in person at the Police Detachment in the community you reside in.
- You MUST bring two pieces of government-issued identification, one of which must be a photo ID if at all possible. At least one piece of ID MUST have your local address, proving you reside in the same community as the Detachment.
Other Alberta Residents:
- If you are NOT LOCAL to the WSD area, please request a Vulnerable Sector Check from your nearest Police Detachment.
