APPLICATIONS FOR SUMMER SCHOOL OPENS MARCH 31, 2025

Summer School courses will run until July 31, 2025. Courses will be available by June 16th.

Registration:

  • Opens March 31st and closes June 2nd.
  • Registration is open to WWSD and non-WWSD students entering grades 10 - 12 in September 2025.

  • Applications are accepted until June 2, 2025.

PLEASE NOTE: Students enrolling in courses may be required to have an intake interview with an Academic Advisor.

Students may enroll in up to 10 credits in any combination of Summer School Courses.

OPTION CLASSES

  • Career and Life Management (CALM) (3 credits)
  • Physical Education 10, 20, 30 (3 or 5 credits)

CORE CLASSES

  • Social Studies 10-1, 10-2, 20-1, 20-2
  • English 10-1, 10-2, 20-1, 20-2
  • Science 10, 14, 24
  • Biology 20
  • Chem 20
  • Math 10C, 10-3, 20-1, 20-2, 20-3 

OFF-CAMPUS COURSES

  • Workplace Safety (HCS 3000) (1 credit)
    • Required as a prerequisite for Work Experience.
  • Work Experience (credits will vary; 25 hours = 1 credit)
    • Before starting this course, a workplace site inspection report and other documentation from our teacher are required.
  • Agriculture Safety (AGR3000) (1 credit)

DELIVERY METHOD

All courses will be delivered in a digital format using the Hapara platform. (Hapara tutorials will be provided.) Students will complete coursework from home and access teacher support through Hapara, email, and Zoom. Some courses may require in-person attendance for testing.

Teachers will post open office hours and tutorial times for additional support.

COURSE ACCESS & TIMELINE

  • Once enrollment is confirmed, students can access their course materials in early June.
  • Students are encouraged to begin their studies at that time. However, teacher assistance will be limited in early June as they finish the current school year.
  • A suggested goal is to complete approximately one-third of the coursework by July.
