Administrative Procedure 430: Appendix A: School Handbooks

Background

In order to facilitate and enhance communication, all principals are required to develop school handbooks.

Procedures

  1. Handbooks shall be updated regularly, no less than once a year.  All school handbook updates shall be forwarded to the Superintendent for approval prior to printing.

  2. School handbooks shall not contain information or procedures which contravene or contradict Division policies or procedures or provincial regulations.

  3. A copy of the school handbook shall be made available to each student and/or family within two (2) weeks of the commencement of the school year.
