Administrative Procedure 153: SOLICITATION BY NON-SCHOOL PERSONNEL
Background
No person shall canvass, sell, offer to sell, or give goods, services or merchandise to a teacher or student(s) in a school without the prior approval of the Principal.
Procedures
- Permission for such activities to take place shall be determined by the individual Principal in each school.
- Canvassing includes surveys or questionnaires of students or staff.
- Such activities are to be kept to an absolute minimum and then only if the services or products have some educational value or provide a service beneficial to the school, the students, the staff or the student council.
- The Principal is authorized to remove unapproved persons and products/materials from the school and/or school grounds.
