Westwind School Division only accepts substitute teacher applications submited online, as explained below. We do not take applications for position on spec. We will be using the All Positions link from the previous page to post positions in our various employment categories as they come open. Please apply for specific positions as they are advertised on this site.
You MUST also email the following documentation to firstname.lastname@example.org before you will be invited to interview with senior administration.
Account Approval: To become a fully approved substitute, you must create an online account AND submit the required documentation to email@example.com AND have an interview with one of senior administration team at the Central Office before your account can be approved. If you do not submit the documentation to Nicole, you will not be invited to interview with administration and your account will not be approved
Selecting Schools: As you complete the selection of possible schools to sub in please note that you can select all schools, or select individual schools. To selecting individual schools hold down the control key, or the command key on a Mac, and click on the preferred schools.
Updating Account: If you want to update your choices later, log onto your account, make the changes, and then hit "submit" and you profile will be updated. You can access and adjust your profile and selections on your smartphone or tablet as well as from a laptop or desktop computer.
Getting and Accepting Subsitute Notices: Once you have been fully approved as a substitute teacher, you will receive notifications through text or email, whichever you indicated in your account. When you receive this a notification indicating a position is available, you need to login to your existing substitute account on the Westwind Employment page in order to see the full details and indicate if you are accepting the position. Positions are filled on a first respond basis.
